Here at the GSA, Representation and Democracy is at the heart of what we do. We have been representing postgraduate students at the University of York for over 55 years and we're looking forward to many more.
The GSA Leadership Elections is your opportunity to run for a leadership position at the GSA and create positive change for postgraduate students at the University of York.
Is there something you want changed? Or something that you think you would have done differently, if you were in charge?
It can be about your studies, about events, about activities, or about how the University is being run, about anything university related - if you have an opinion on any of these topics you might be perfect for one of our Sabbatical Officer positions.
None of our current Sabbatical Officers can re-run so we're electing three brand new officers! You can find out more about each role and the salary further down.Nominate yourself here
There are 3 full time officer positions and 3 student trustee positions available in the GSA Leadership Elections 2021
Each of the officers has a different remit but all involve going out and speaking to students, representing postgraduate students in a range of University meetings and developing projects and events to benefit the postgraduate community.
We are electing a President, a Vice President Academic, a Vice President Wellbeing and Community, and three student trustee roles.
The three Sabbatical Officer roles are paid and full time. The Student Trustee roles are voluntary to be done alongside your studies. For more details about each role click here
