Academic Representation Strategy Consultation Announcement

After three years of rapid development of our academic representation system the GSA is looking at how we continue to expand and support representation within departments at the University of York. We have rapidly expanded our academic representation system  increasing the number of Reps and the support that we give them. We want this trajectory to continue so that we can ensure that all members of our postgraduate community are represented in their academic concerns. Student voice is a collaborative project between the students, the Union and the University.

We want students and staff to be able to input into the development of this strategy which is why we’re launching our consultation. We’ll be running a survey over the next month, alongside a series of workshops for students, Reps and University staff to gather more information. There will be a weekly prize draw for those who complete the survey – look out for the survey being launched soon!

In addition to the survey, we are running workshops to talk to you about exactly what you want to see from academic representation at the GSA, we are offering vouchers for every attendee!
