Ursula Mcarthur

Summary:
I work as one of the Events and Communications Coordinators at the GSA. This includes working with Phoebe and Megan to plan and deliver a wide variety of fantastic events! These include overnight and day trips, as well as events in York centre or on campus.

Previous Experience:
I began working for the GSA in October 2021 and have always thoroughly enjoyed delivering events and meeting our students! I began the GSA alongside a Masters’s degree at York in Peace and Conflict. Before moving here I was studying Anthropology at Aberdeen. My love for Scotland inspired me to buy a van and head to the Scottish Isles. A lot of my previous work and voluntary roles have focused on the well-being of young people. Such as my work for ChildLine or my various roles as an activity instructor.

Fun Information:
Normally my hobbies include climbing and van adventures. But recently a large amount of my time has been spent building cardboard mansions for my hamster.
