Postgraduate Welcome Week is a dedicated week of induction activities and events to help you get to know your new home at York and meet other postgraduate students.

The Graduate Students’ Association is the primary representative body for all postgraduate student at the University of York. Essentially like a postgraduate students’ union, we run events, trips, academic workshops, volunteering opportunities and an independent, confidential advice service for the benefit of all masters and PhD students in York. Welcome Week takes place from Monday 17 September to Sunday 23 September. For those who cannot make Welcome Week, we have an additional group of events in Network Week (24 September – Sunday 30 September) more info to be released soon.

We have a range of events from our official welcome talk and useful info fair on Tuesday 18 September to our flagship evening events that take place every evening from 7pm/8pm and are the highlight of the week. Some events are free, others may have a small charge, or you can buy a Welcome Week Wristband which covers all of our evening events and gets you discounts on other events throughout the week!

You can pick up your student card at the Information Centre from Monday 17 September. You can find the Information Centre on the University interactive campus map
How do I get to campus?Click here for more info
