National Postgraduate Conference
In July 2019, the Graduate Students’ Association played host for the first time to the National Postgraduate Conference! Postgraduate students make up almost a quarter of all students in the UK, but are often underrepresented or overlooked. This conference aims to ensure that Students’ Unions around the country are equipped to represent them.
The National Postgraduate Conference 2019 was a day of information sharing focused on the postgraduate experience in Higher Education. We heard from experts in the PG experience, on topics from postgraduate mental health to the postgraduate widening participation and the national picture. It was also an opportunity for Sabbatical Officers and Students’ Union staff from across the country – and as far away as the Exeter and Strathclyde Students’ Unions – to network and share best practice.
We had a great time organising and we’re looking forward to playing host again next year!
