Navigating Through Racism in the Professional Environment

Four Windrush descendants from four different fields, talking about the racism they’ve faced in professional environments. With backgrounds ranging from the police to academia this is an event not to miss.

The Anti-Racism Working Group led by students and supported by the Centre for Applied Human Rights and the Politics Department have collaborated with the GSA to organise the event, with the GSA funding the speakers.

DCI John Williams – The First black Detective Chief Inspector in Merseyside Police.

Dominique Walker – Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, Vice Chair of the Anthony Walker Foundation and a founder of The Goddess Projects.

Rowley Moore – Counsellor and First Black Superintendent and Chief Superintendent in Merseyside Police.

Dr Addey Adelaine – CEO of ladders4action, Action Researcher, Scholar-Activist
