Leyburn is a market town and civil parish in the district of Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, England, sitting above the northern bank of the River Ure in Wensleydale. Historically in the North Riding of Yorkshire, the name was derived from ‘Ley’ or ‘Le’, and ‘burn’, meaning clearing by the stream.
Bolton Castle is a 14th-century castle located in Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England. The nearby village Castle Bolton takes its name from the castle. The castle is a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument
Entry for the castle is £7.50 for students with ID. We have not included this in the price this visit is optional.
Hawes is located in the heart of the Yorkshire dales, Hawes is a peaceful little village of mellow stone buildings, shops and houses, linked by cobbled streets. A branch of the River Ure with its gushing waterfalls flows through the centre of the village.
Depart James College, YUSU building at 8am and leave Hawes (Lakes) at 5pm
