Representation
As a students’ union for postgraduate students, we are aiming at provide the best representation for all postgraduate students in York University.
We are sitting on every important committee in the university. We are also willing to hear from you every day in our office. So your message could be passed directly by the top of the university. Some of the top university committees we are sitting on are:
University Court, University Council, University Senate
Each department, school or centre at this university is governed by a Board of Studies. Depending on the department, postgraduate representatives for both taught masters and PhD students are elected to serve on the committee. These academic representatives are also part of GSA.
Moreover, we are holding the postgraduate forum every term. By setting up this direct link from you to the top of the university, you have the chance to raise your issue face to face to the people who are responsible for it.
