Whilst studying for a graduate degree is hard work, and certainly more time consuming than when you were an undergraduate (we hope), it certainly doesn't mean you shouldn't have a bit of fun whilst you're at York. In fact, we thinking having an active social life, meeting new and interesting people, and relaxing between essays, exams and dissertation stuff is equally important as your studies (!).

But because graduate students don’t have the same amount of time to organise things in the daytime, the GSA (unlike many other student organisations across the country) take on a large degree of this responsibility.

This year, for example, we're launching a regular Friday night event in Edge, called "Thank Grad it's Friday" – TGI Friday – where we'll be putting on a mixture of live music, karaoke, quiz nights and much much more. Stay tuned for the regular GSA newsletter (by email), and check out the event planner on the left of the screen for more information.
