Officers of the GSA Executive
Officers of the GSA Executive are elected members of the Executive whose job is to put the GSA's policies set by Association Council into practice. They make up your point of contact with the GSA for academic, welfare, events and other varied issues. Some executive posts are shared amongst several people.
Principal Officers
President - Rui Huang
The President chairs the GSA Executive Committee, has overall responsibility for co-ordinating all its activities and represents students on specific university committees.

Academic Affairs Officer - Kieran Alden
The Academic Affairs Officer leads campaigns related to academic issues, represents students at academic appeals, and attends a number of relevant university committees.

Services Officer - Michael Kirkpatrick
The Services Officer has overall responsibility for co-ordinating (in conjunction with the non-sabbatical officers) all the services, events and sports activities that the GSA provides. They also provide the link between the various Graduate Common Room Committees (GCRs) and the GSA.

Finance Officer - Richard Rhodes
The Finance Officer liaises with the GSA Manager in administering funds and in ensuring the elected budget is adhered to.

Welfare Officer - Heather Rowley
The Welfare Officer is responsible for all non-academic welfare issues affecting postgraduate students, sits on a number of University committees relevant to student welfare and represents students at academic appeals.

Events Officers - Lauren Sewell, Pip Rackstraw and Kelly Sinclair
The events officers are responsible for organising and co-ordinating events ran by the GSA. They are overseen by the Internal Officer.

The Communications Officer is responsible for delivering information regarding all GSA activities. They are overseen by the Services Officer.

Sports Officers - Shanila Ashraff and Samik Datta
The Sports Officer(s) are responsible for co-ordinating all regular sporting events for post-graduate students. They are overseen by the Services Officer.

International Students Officer - Ebtihal Mahadeen
The International Students Officer is responsible for representing all international students on the GSA. In particular, they liaise with the University International Office and are also a member of the Executive Committee of the International Students Association (ISA).

CCV (Communities, Charities and Volunteering) Officer - Xin Zhang
The CCV Officer is responsible for encouraging graduate students to get involved in volunteering, community and charity work.

The Campaigns Officer works with the other officers and representatives to Council in developing new campaigns and, as necessary, calling for Referenda to be held.
