Election Information

Big stuff this week, guys...  ELECTIONS!   The GSA currently has three open positions: Ordinary GSA Trustee Services Officer (this is a paid position! 10 hours per week) International Students Officer(s) (two or more people can stand together)

If you would like a chance to influence university policy and improve campus life or just meet some new people and pad your resume a bit, the GSA WANTS YOU!

Nominations are now open, collect a nomination form from the GSA office to stand. If you would like more information on the positions, duties or just to discuss any other matters contact the Returning Officer via elections@yorkgsa.org.

Nominations close Monday 15th February 12 noon, Compulsory candidates briefing 15th Feb 12 noon. Hustings Wednesday 17th 8pm in EDGE Voting online via www.yorkgsa.org opens Friday 19th, 12 noon Voting closes Friday 26th 5pm Results Friday 26th 9pm in EDGE Visit www.yorkgsa.org for more information or email elections@yorkgsa.org with any queries.

NETBALL TEAM SEEKS MEMBERS!

Start the New Year as you mean to go on - join Wentworth College Netball team! We're a small group of postgraduate students who play netball just for the fun of it! No experience needed, you just need to be a postgraduate student and have a willingness to have fun and keep fit! We have 1 hour training sessions on Tuesdays at 4.30pm and 30 minute matches on Wednesday afternoons. Contact Kate or Anna if you have questions or want more information, kes501 or acr509, or meet us in the sport's centre tent Tues 4.30pm.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Welfare Focus Group

The GSA is co-hosting a welfare focus group on Thursday, Feb. 4th at 4pm in W/307.  This is a great forum for all interested Post Grads to come discuss welfare concerns and what they would like to see from the GSA.  We work for you, so come let us know what we can do better!

GUITAR HERO ROCKFEST!!!

This Friday, February 5 is going to be epic!  EDGE will be hosting a Battle the Bands style Guitar Hero Championship!

There will be most excellent prizes for:

• Best Hair (Bigger is Better!)
• Best Guitar Face
• Highest Score, of course
• Best Air Guitaring Skills and General Theatrics

We will begin the rocking and rolling at 8pm so come on over!
