What can the Careers Service do for you?
We are here for you throughout your time at York, and will continue to help you if you need us when you graduate. We can help whether you know what you want to do next or if you need support to explore all the options open to you.
If you need help finding vacancies, making applications or preparing for interviews we have workshops, online information sheets and application reviews. For information about different careers, training, where to find vacancies, or getting started with your CV call in to talk to staff at the information desk any time without an appointment. Our information room is open every day and has a wide range of resources. We also run a daily appointment system which is bookable through the Interactive part of our website and you can use these 20 minute appointments with a Careers Adviser to discuss your ideas, talk through options, ask specific questions or get feedback on your CV, covering letter or application form.
Throughout the year, we run a series of careers events, workshops and skills courses which you can book through our website - Whether you want to find out more about a particular careers area, need help with you applications, or want to develop your employability skills, there is something for everyone.
