The Graduate Students’ Association is a postgraduate students union which is run by postgraduate students themselves. It means, all the officers are also students, and all the decisions are made by students.
There are five principal officers, and a group of energetic voluntary officers and course reps in our association. The election for the officers takes place once a year. With the help of our general manger, representation, advice and welfare coordinator and the reception staff, we are trying to provide the best service possible for all the postgraduate students in University of York.
The top decision making meeting is the GSA council, which make all the decisions for this association. Trustees and Governance will keep an eye on the budget. There are also a number of sub-committees inside the GSA to make sure all the motions decided in council are well executed.
