Mindfulness – the practice of purposefully focusing your attention on the present moment, and accepting it without judgement.

Being mindful is suggested to help focus, relieve worries and increase resilience. It is also suggested to help relieve stress, improve sleep and lower blood pressure. Some practitioners use it to treat depression and anxiety disorders.

We will be running weekly sessions on mindfulness for Wentworth College members. These sessions will be no more than 45 minutes and will introduce to you some of the basic techniques and practices and give you the opportunity to practice some of these techniques.

You can attend regularly or just occasionally – it is fine to dip in and out as you wish.
