This is the official notice that York Graduate Students’ Association will be holding elections for full-time paid Sabbatical Officer roles for the 2021/2022 academic year as per the following details:
Main Elections Timeline:
Nominations Open – 29 March 2021
Nominations Close – 10 May 2021
Manifesto Deadline – 17 May 2021
Election Drop-In Session 1 – Feb/March
Election Drop-In Session 2 – April/May
All-Candidates Meeting 1 – 18 May 2021
All-Candidates Meeting 2 – 19 May 2021
Voting Opens – 20 May 2021
Voting Closes – 26 May 2021
Results Announced – 27 May 2021

How to nominate yourself
During the nomination period, visit www.yorkgsa.org/elections to put yourself forward for one of the Sabbatical Officer roles. All nominations must be received by 3 pm on Monday 10th May. Please note, you are not expected to submit your manifesto at the same time as your nomination.
How to submit your manifesto
All candidates must submit their manifesto outlining their reasons for standing before the deadline of 3 pm on Monday 17th May 2021.
Campaigns and manifesto training will take place to ensure candidates know how to write an engaging and relevant manifesto.
How to vote
During the voting period, your unique link to vote in the elections will be emailed to you. This year our chosen voting platform is Choice Voting. Once you have received your email with login information, you can follow the link in the email to cast your vote.
